One of our clients works in building supply manufacturing. Due to the nature of their business, they frequently receive phone orders from new and established clients, as well as online orders. To prevent fraud, we used Twilio to add 3-D Secure to their payment processor. If a purchase is made by a debit or credit card that’s not physically available to be read by their POS system, the card owner receives a text message to verify they’re making the purchase.
Delivery confirmation
A client that is in the construction supply delivery sector frequently has to deliver large quantities of product at sites that are unsupervised at the time of delivery due to the nature of their product. To reduce fraud and ensure the customer is in agreement of when the delivery takes place, we used Twilio to automate a text to the client upon arrival at the construction site. The text includes a link to a custom webpage we build where the client signs acceptance of delivery and takes ownership of it.
